Connect a Game Controller
Rally Co-Pilot can start and stop a special stage from a PlayStation or Xbox controller — a reliable, glove-friendly remote you can mount on the dashboard. This guide shows how to pair one and which buttons to use.
Pairing the controller
PlayStation (DualSense / DualShock 4)
- Turn the controller off. Hold the PS button and the Create (or Share) button together until the light bar starts flashing.
- On your iPhone open Settings → Bluetooth and make sure Bluetooth is on.
- Tap the controller under Other Devices to connect. The light bar turns solid once paired.
Xbox Wireless Controller
- Turn the controller on with the Xbox button, then hold the Pair button on top until the Xbox button flashes quickly.
- On your iPhone open Settings → Bluetooth and make sure Bluetooth is on.
- Tap the controller under Other Devices to connect.
Using it during a rally
In Rally Co-Pilot, turn on Settings → Accessories → Remote Start → Use game controller. Open a stage and:
- A / Cross — start the highlighted stage (marked "Next").
- B / Circle — stop the running stage.
- D-pad up / down — choose which stage starts next; the highlight moves as you press.
Nothing happens when I press a button
Make sure the controller is connected in iOS Settings → Bluetooth (not just powered on), that "Use game controller" is enabled in the app, and that you have a stage open. If it still doesn't respond, reconnect the controller and reopen the stage.
